Production control employs state-of-the-art technology, whilst the ongoing support of the engineering departments guarantees unrivalled quality at both the design (in cooperation with the customer) and production stages.
The Company boasts modern, efficient machinery with high-tech accessories and automated equipment capable of satisfying every type of request. Raw materials utilised are all certified by the manufacturer in strict accordance with customer-supplied specifications and reference standards. All materials are stored and handled in such a way as to ensure perfect identification, preservation and traceability. Meccanica CGA is a flexible business capable of playing an active role in the development of projects in close cooperation with the customer. The Company supplies a "finished product": - developing in-house and in close cooperation with the customer the manner in which the product is manufactured; - creating dies and tooling either by using the internal technology available to the tool room (CAM, wire-cutting and die-sinking EDM, machining centres, grinders, mechanical and hydraulic presses) or in association with qualified external suppliers; - developing and building experimental structures, small-scale runs and unique specimens using highly-skilled personnel and machinery set aside exclusively for the prototype department; - coordinating and monitoring outsourced heat-treatment and surface-coating operations entrusted to a network of qualified external suppliers. The availability of leading-edge technology in-house allows great flexibility as far as volumes are concerned: therefore, besides medium and mass production runs, orders for just a few pieces are accepted and executed in accordance with the terms of contract agreed with the customer. Meccanica CGA in-house production processes are: - punching, fine blanking, using arch and pillar presses; - stamping and drawing using hydraulic presses and broaching machines; - combination laser cutting and punching machinery; - bending with CNC bending presses; - machining with CNC turning and milling centres (machining centres and lathes fitted with bar feeder); - welding using NC capacitor-discharge, projection and condenser-discharge welding apparatus; - TIG, MAG and MIG welding (manual, semiautomatic, robotic); - braze welding, body In white; - manual fitting and assembly of parts or units; - surface cleaning by means of tumbling and ultrasonic cleaning. |
