History
The story of Meccanica CGA from Argelato, just outside Bologna , began two generations prior to that of the current Managing Director, Emiliano Chiodini.
In 1963, Efrem Chiodini opened a small tool room that mainly worked for Weber of Bologna, today Magneti Marelli, making dies for carburettor components.
In 1975, in view of the experience and tooling at its disposal, the company also began making blanked and pressed stampings.

In 1984 Meccanica CGA was founded.
Over the years, the company has invested in new technology and developed tooling and prototype design and manufacture, thus increasing its domestic and international customer base.
The number of employees in Argelato has risen from around 20 to more than 150 with a similar number in the decentralised manufacturing facilities.
The Company forecasts growth in corporate sales for the coming year of around 30%, thus exceeding the threshold of 34 million euro.
Today, Meccanica CGA is a modern enterprise offering the customer innovative solutions for the development of its products whilst ensuring they remain cost-effective, also thanks to carefully-planned decentralisation of manufacturing operations. For the future, Meccanica CGA has its eye on products with complex configuration and technology managed as part of an integrated quality-safety-environmental system.
